About Markus and His Shows

Who are you, Markus, and what should we expect?

Well first of all, thanks for asking. I've been performing stand-up comedy for a long time. I learned to do magic when I was cast as the wizard Octavius in Caesar's Magical Empire, an elaborate, theatrical show experience in a cavernous complex dedicated to illusion inside Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. Having trained there under some of the best magicians in the world, I began to develop my own unique blend of comedy, sleight-of-hand, and mind reading. I mostly perform with ordinary household objects, accompanied by audience volunteers who become co-stars of the show. I don't do "big box" illusions, but I might play with food, manipulate office supplies, or kitchen utensils, for example. I use original jokes and physical comedy to keep the audience guessing, balancing gags with surprising magical and mental effects. So you never quite know what to expect next. All in good fun, my act is always clean, and is appropriate for all audiences. Disclaimer: Not that you asked, but I possess no actual supernatural powers. My act is purely for entertainment purposes. I believe that laughter is the real magic.
